Zulu Monarch To Receive IAWPA Global Peace Appointment
The International Management Team of the International Association Of World Peace Advocates IAWPA has announced that King Misuzulu Ka Zwelithini the King of Zulu Nation will be honoured with International Eminent Peace Ambassador award. The association also said the reverred monarch will be presented with staff of authority on indigenous issues to the International Community.
Amb. Nkweke said the monarch has since accepted the nomination via a letter addressed to the World Peace President Amb Per Stafsen early June this year.
Amb. Emmanuel Nkweke the International Spokesman of IAWPA in a press release made available to newsmen in Abuja the Nigerian Federal Capital Territory highlighted the contributions of King Misuzulu to peace. He said the appointment will create a platform for the utilisation of traditional institutions to promote peace and the ideals of the Sustainable Development Goals SDG initiative b
The statement said the presentation to His Majesty King Misuzulu Ka Zwelithini will be done by none other person but the World Peace President Amb Per Stafsen from the Kingdom of Denmark. He said the presence of Amb Per Stafsen at the event underscores the importance of the presentation not only to the association, but to the international community also.
The statement said all Eminent Peace Ambassadors from Southern Africa will grace the event which will also be used to promote the African year of cultural renaissance.
Misuzulu, 49, was named king in 2021 after the death of his father King Goodwill Zwelithini, who had ruled the Zulu nation which is South Africa's richest and most influential traditional monarchy, for almost 50 years.
His late father Goodwill Zwelithini who died March 2021 once held the throne.
