The International Association of World Peace Advocates (IAWPA) is pleased to announce that it will be observing the United Nations International Day of Education on January 24th in Abuja, Nigeria. This day is set aside by the United Nations to promote the ideals of education as a fundamental human right and a key driver of sustainable development. As an organization committed to promoting peace, tolerance, and sustainable development, IAWPA recognizes the critical role that education plays in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).  Education is a cardinal point of the SDGs, and it is essential for promoting peace, understanding, and development. On January 24th, IAWPA will be using the occasion of the International Day of Education to promote the importance of education in achieving sustainable development. IAWPA FCT CHAPTER's VISIT TO JK'S HOME FOR CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS

The International Association of World Peace Advocates (IAWPA) FCT Chapter ably led by its Coordinator Amb. Sunday Lawal and other members embarked on a humanitarian visit to JK's Home for Children with Special Needs in Abuja. The visit aimed to provide support, care, and advocacy for children with special needs, while promoting the organization's mission of fostering peace, unity, and inclusivity. The primary objective of the visit was to: 1. Provide emotional support and care to children with special needs. 2. Donate essential items and cash to the home 3. Advocate for the rights and well-being of children with special needs. 4. Strengthen partnerships with organizations supporting children with special needs. During the visit, IAWPA members: 1. Interacted with the children, engaging in fun activities, such as story telling  2. Presented donations, including food,cash and other items 3. IAWPA Honours Gov Nwifuru as an Eminent Peace Ambassador Award

In a remarkable show of commitment to peace and volunteerism, the International Association of World Peace Advocates IAWPA says it will observe the International Volunteers Day (IVD) in Ebonyi State. The event according to a press statement signed by the International Spokesman of IAWPA Amb. Emmanuel Nkweke says the association will highlight the significant role of volunteers in fostering peace and development across the globe. A key highlight will be the presentation of the prestigious Eminent Peace Ambassador Award to the governor of Ebonyi State, His Excellency Francis Nwifuru. The association said Governor Nwifuru has been a steadfast advocate for peace and social cohesion since he assumed office as the state governor. Amb. IAWPA Congratulates Duma Boko On Assumption Of Office As Botswana President

The International Association Of World Peace Advocates (IAWPA) has congratulated the newly sworn-in President of Botswana, Mr. Duma Boko, on his assumption of office. In a press statement signed by the International Spokesman of IAWPA, Amb Emmanuel Nkweke, and made available to journalists in Abuja by the Director of Media and Publicity, Amb. Nwokoma Messiah, the group described the victory of Boko as a victory for change and democracy. IAWPA issued the statement after its 187th International Management Team meeting held in Abuja, Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory (FCT). Duma Boko, a 54- year-old human rights lawyer, made history by becoming the first opposition leader to take office in Botswana, ending nearly 60 years of rule by the Botswana Democratic Party (BDP). International Day Of Girl Child: ‘Education Key To Growth Of Girl Child’

  AS the world observes this year’s International Day of the Girl Child, a member of the International Association Of World Peace Advocates IAWPA has addressed the globe on the need to educate the Girl Child inorder to give girls the capacity to fulfill their potentials. In a video sited by our reporter, Amb. Miss Crystal Enato Sam-Ogbuku said every girl has a dream, voice and a talent that needs to be heard and recognized. She said the world should be bold enough to use the observance    of the international day of the Girl Child to say enough is enough in order to put a stop to the various inhibitions that prevent the girl child from fulfilling her potentials. The association said the day is dedicated to raising awareness about corruption and promoting efforts to combat the menace. IPD: Gov Makinde To Receive Peace Ambassador Award

  As the international community gets set to observe the International Day of Peace, a global peace advocacy group known as the International Association Of World Peace Advocates IAWPA has announced that it will be giving the highly prestigious International Eminent Peace Ambassador Award to His Excellency Engineer Oluseyi Makinde the Executive Governor of Oyo State. In a press statement made available to LEADERSHIP in Abuja, Amb. Emmanuel Nkweke the International Spokesman of the association said the association after receiving the nomination of Governor Makinde said the International Management Team of the association decided to appoint the Oyo State Governor as an Eminent Peace Ambassador which makes him the only governor to receive this nomination this year.
