BREAKING: Bayelsa Police Command Lauded by IAWPA for Proactive Security Measures

The International Association of World Peace Advocates (IAWPA) has commended the Bayelsa State Police Command for its proactive approach to solving the issues of insecurity in the state. 

A State signed by Amb Emmanuel Nkweke the International Spokesman of IAWPA said under the leadership of the present Commissioner of Police Alonyenu Francis Idu the command has made significant contributions to promoting peace and security in Bayelsa State.

Some of the positive contributions made by the Commissioner of Police include enhanced Security Measures which  the command has implemented  through enhanced security measures, including increased patrols and surveillance, to prevent and respond to security threats. The statement also pointed out the Command's Community Engagement initiative which has witnessed the Commissioner of Police engagement with local communities, fostering a sense of trust and cooperation between the police and the public. Also Amb Nkweke stressed that the Command has embarked on  Intelligence-Led Policing leading to the adoption of  an intelligence-led approach to policing, enabling it to anticipate and prevent security threats.

"We are also commenting the Bayelsa Police Command for its Collaboration with Other Agencies. The Commissioner of Police collaborating with other security agencies has  ensured a coordinated response to security challenges in the state"

The statement further highlighted the major breakthroughs which the Command under CP Alonyenu Francis Idu has achieved to include 

Arrest of Suspects: He confirmed the arrest of six suspects allegedly involved in the killing of a police constable, Oboh Goodluck, by suspected cultists in the state and most recently the swift arrest of one Pastor George Idumange who allegedly connived with his girlfriend to murder a real estate agent in Bayelsa state. 

The statement said IAWPA appreciates the efforts of the Bayelsa State Security Command and the Commissioner of Police in promoting peace and security in the state. "We recognize the challenges faced by security agencies in the state and commend the command for its proactive approach to addressing these challenges"

IAWPA further calls on all stakeholders to support the efforts of the Bayelsa State Police Command in promoting peace and security in the state. 

"Inorder to butress our commendation, IAWPA has recommended the CP to the IGP for special recognition for his positive strides in the state. Bayelsa is now a safe heaven for investors"

The statement further said the association believes that collective action is essential in addressing the security challenges facing the state and promoting a safer environment for all citizens.
