September 25th 2018 Celebration of the UN-SDGs in Abuja, Nigeria.

2018 September 25 th , Abuja the capital city of Nigeria went agog as the International Association of World Peace Advocates celebrated the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 3 rd Anniversary. The ceremony witnessed great participation of people as prominent Nigerians including the Vice Chancellor of Ambrose Ali University was honoured with the Eminent Peace Ambassador Award. Meanwhile, the event also showcased the 17 Best Performing SDG Governors in Nigeria and the overall winner of the most 17 Best performing governor was declared to be the Katsina State governor, His Excellency, Alhaji Aminu Masari, the award of the SDG First Honour an extension of the event will be presented to him in Katsina State government house in the month of October by the world peace president from Denmark. Nevertheless, the cutting of the anniversary cake was conducted by the Permanent Secretary of the SDG Office and the representative of the governor of the Katsina on SDG. Other side events was

For the record: 2017 celebration of UN-SDGs 2 nd Anniversary held in Awka, Anambra State, Nigeria. The event witnessed the cutting of the 2rd SDG anniversary cake led by the SA to the governor Willie Obiano on SDG and other well-meaning Nigerians. As part of our culture the UN-SDGs symbols were displayed signifying the acceptance and awareness of our guests on Sustainable Development Goals. Amb. Emmanuel Nkweke also gave practical lecture on the SDG, Climate Change and Paris Agreement. His Excellency, Chief Dr. Willie Obiano, Executive Governor of Anambra State was declared the 2016-2017 SDG Governor of the Year.  

3rd SDG Anniversary: Bank of Agriculture, UBEC, TETFUND Heads To Receive Award

 The International Association of World Peace Advocates IAWPA has concluded plans to celebrate the UN SDG third anniversary   and also recognize Nigerians whose efforts have helped promote the Sustainable Development Goals thereby helping to promote peace and development in the country. The association in a press statement signed by its Director of Media and Publicity Comrade Nwokoma Messiah said aside the recognition of 17 governors across the country that have impacted on their states in terms of the goals, the group will be recognizing other eminent Nigerians by appointing them Eminent Peace Ambassadors with all benefits that comes with such appointments.
