17 Governors Set For UN-SDG Awards
Seventeen state governors will be awarded for the roles they have played in promoting the Sustainable Development Goals. The award will be organised by the International Association of World Peace Advocates (IAWPA) official partner to the United Nations on Sustainable Development Goals. The association in a press statement signed by its international spokesman Amb. Emmanuel Nkweke said the award ceremony is part of its activities to celebrate the 3 rd anniversary of the United Nations Sustainable Goals which was adopted by member states of the UN date back 25 th September 2015 in New-York. According to the statement, the governors of Lagos, Katsina, Rivers, Kogi, Anambra, Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Kebbi, Bauchi, Imo, Taraba, Abia, Adamawa, Kano, Niger, Ogun and Kaduna states will be awarded in various areas of the SDGs.
