SDG School To School Awareness: IAWPA Team berths At Susan Schools



As part of our determination to ensure that awareness for the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations Organisation gets to all the nooks and crannies of the country, we at the International Association of World Peace Advocates (IAWPA) was at Susan Schools Port Harcourt to educate the school children and the teachers on the Sustainable Development Goals SDGs.

The International Spokesman of our Association who was the guest speaker at the event enlightened the students on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. His lecture also centered on how they can key in into being part of the UN in areas such as posting day to day activities that concerns the SDGs on line as well as career development. He also pledged to key in Susan Schools to the UN platform so they can be part of the educational platform of the world body.

The programme which witnessed a plethora of displays by the students, climaxed with the conferment of UN Emissary award on the proprietress of Susan Schools Mrs. Susan Madom.

Mrs. Madom thanked the International Association of World Peace Advocates for conferring her with the UN Emissary award. She said her school was happy to be part of such a wonderful event and promised to do all she can to ensure that the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations receives strong attention in the school.
Some students who spoke with our correspondent thanked our Association for making them know what the SDG is all about. “I will be an adult by the time the SDG comes to an end and with this training today, I believe I will be part of those that can beat my chest to say that we have helped to impact on the globe” the student said.
