New York, USA – His Eminence Amb. Adeleye Adetunji Oludare, Commandant of the Ondo State Amotekun Corps and an Eminent Peace Ambassador, participated in the United Nations International Day for the Total Elimination of Nuclear Weapons. The high-level gathering convened diplomats, policy makers, and security experts from across the globe to advance dialogue on nuclear disarmament and collective security. Amb. Adeleye stood out as the only Nigerian professional from the security sector in attendance. His presence underscored Nigeria’s continuing commitment to international peace initiatives and highlighted his own leadership in promoting disarmament and global security. “Peace and security are universal responsibilities,” Amb. Adeleye noted during the event. “Nigeria’s voice must be heard in shaping a future free of nuclear weapons, and I am honored to contribute to that global effort.”
The International Association of World Peace Advocates (IAWPA) has issued words of commendation to the government of Enugu State, led by Governor Peter Mbah, for its commitment to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
