 IAWPA Announces Amb Richard Okere As Head Of Delegation To 2nd United Nations Food Systems Summit Stocktake (UNFSS+4), Ethiopia.

The International Association of World Peace Advocates (IAWPA) is pleased to announce that Ambassador  Richard Okere will lead a delegation of members to the 2nd United Nations Food Systems Summit Stocktake (UNFSS+4) in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, from July 27-29, 2025.

The UNFSS+4 aims to: reflect on Progress and  ssessing achievements and identify lessons learned in food systems transformation.

It also aims to Strengthen Accountability, evaluating roles, commitments, and contributions of state and non-state actors.

The statement further highlighted the aims of the conference to include unlocking Investments, scaling impactful solutions, leveraging new partnerships, financial tools, and innovations.

By participating in UNFSS+4, IAWPA members will: contribute to Global Discussions, Engage with world leaders, experts, and stakeholders to shape international policies on food systems transformation.

It will also benefit in networking  and collaborating while building partnerships with governments, civil society, private sector, and UN agencies to advance sustainable food systems.

Other benefits of the programme include showcasing expertise sharing  knowledge and experiences in promoting sustainable, resilient, and inclusive food systems.

IAWPA says it is committed to making a bold statement at UNFSS+4, emphasizing the importance of:

Sustainable Food Systems: Promoting food systems that prioritize human well-being, environmental sustainability, and social justice.

Inclusive Participation: Ensuring diverse voices, including women, youth, and Indigenous communities, are represented in food systems transformation.

As IAWPA's  representative, Amb Okere has been instrumental in promoting peace, sustainable development, and cooperation globally. His contributions to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are notable.
