International Day Of Girl Child: ‘Education Key To Growth Of Girl Child’
AS the world observes this year’s International Day of the Girl Child, a member of the International Association Of World Peace Advocates IAWPA has addressed the globe on the need to educate the Girl Child inorder to give girls the capacity to fulfill their potentials.
In a video sited by our reporter, Amb. Miss Crystal Enato Sam-Ogbuku said every girl has a dream, voice and a talent that needs to be heard and recognized.
She said the world should be bold enough to use the observance of the international day of the Girl Child to say enough is enough in order to put a stop to the various inhibitions that prevent the girl child from fulfilling her potentials.
While stressing the need for education she says she will not fail to proactively use her platform to ensure that the voice of the girl child is heard.
In a related development, Amb. Emmanuel Nkweke the International Spokesman of IAWPA said there are efforts being made to set up the Crystal Enato Sam-Ogbuku Foundation for the Girl Child.
She said this move which is geared towards touching the lives of Girls from indigent homes will focus on educating them and empowering them to reach their potentials.
Amb. Nkweke said plans are on ground to launch the association before the end of the year. He also commended the zeal of Miss Crystal Enato Sam-Ogbuku as regards the Girl Child stressing that if others toe such line, the Girl Child especially in Nigeria will be liberated.
