IAWPA URGES SENATE TO CONFIRM ENGR. AMB. ABDULLAHI RAMAT AS NERC CHAIRMAN
Abuja, Nigeria - The International Association of World Peace Advocates (IAWPA) has urged the Nigerian Senate to confirm Engr. Amb. Abdullahi Ramat as the Chairman of the Nigeria Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC).
In a letter to the President of the Nigerian Senate, IAWPA through its International Spokesman Amb Emmanuel Nkweke expressed strong support for Abdullahi Ramat's nomination, citing his requisite experience, expertise, and vision to turn around the country's electricity sector.
"Abdullahi Ramat has the requisite experience, expertise, and vision to turn around the country's electricity sector," said Amb. Emmanuel Nkweke, International Spokesman of IAWPA. "His leadership will be instrumental in addressing the challenges facing the sector and driving reforms that will improve the sector's performance."
"The Senate Committee on Electricity, led by Sen. Enyinnaya Abaribe, has cleared Abdullahi Ramat's nomination and IAWPA is hereby urging the Senate to expedite his confirmation, because his leadership is critical to the sector's transformation"
"Confirming Abdullahi Ramat will send a strong signal to investors and stakeholders that Nigeria is committed to creating a conducive environment for investment in the electricity sector," says the International Spokesman , Amb Emmanuel Nkweke.
